What is KinJoin?
KinJoin helps families and close groups stay connected through one simple daily prompt. Everyone in your private group gets the same question each day, responds in seconds, and then sees what everyone else shared.
Is KinJoin free?
Yes. Answering the daily prompt, groups, photos, reactions, comments and streaks are all free, with no ads. KinJoin Plus is an optional subscription ($4.99 a month or $39.99 a year in the US) with unlimited custom prompts, every past prompt, a streak freeze every month, and a free first Restore. You can also buy custom prompts and streak freezes one at a time.
When does the daily prompt arrive?
A new prompt goes live every morning at 10 a.m. Central time, and KinJoin sends a reminder then. You can pick a later reminder time in the app under Profile → Notifications. If you've already answered, you won't get the reminder.
How do I create a group?
Open the app and tap "Create a Group." Give it a name, then tap Invite to send your people a link. Anyone in the group can invite more people, and groups of three or four tend to stick.
How do daily prompts work?
Each day your group receives one fun, thoughtful prompt. You respond first — then everyone's answers unlock so you can see what your group shared. It keeps things fair and a little exciting.
What is a custom prompt?
A question you write for your group, for a day you pick. On that day everyone in the group answers it after the daily prompt. The group's owner approves it first (their own are approved right away). Custom prompts are $0.99 for one or $1.99 for three, and unlimited with KinJoin Plus.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your streak resets, unless you have a streak freeze. A freeze covers one missed day automatically. Your first 7-day streak earns you a free one; after that you can buy more, and KinJoin Plus adds one every month. If a streak does break, you can restore it in the app.
Who can see my answers?
Only the people in your groups, and only after they have answered too. There is no public feed and there are no followers. Your answer goes to every group you are in.
Can I respond with photos?
Yes! You can respond with a short text answer or snap a photo directly in the app. Either way it only takes a few seconds.
I didn't receive my group invite. What should I do?
Invites are a six-character code, usually sent as a link like getkinjoin.com/join/ABC123. Ask anyone in the group to share it again. Then open the app, tap "Enter Invite Code," and type the code.
How do I reset my password?
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and follow the steps. If you still have trouble getting back in, reach out to us at hello@getkinjoin.com and we'll help you out.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly from within the app: open Profile, tap Edit, then Delete Account. For step-by-step instructions, visit our Delete Account page.
How do I report a bug or send feedback?
Use Profile → Send feedback in the app, or email hello@getkinjoin.com with a description of the issue, your device type (iPhone/Android), and your OS version. Screenshots are always helpful!
